Welcome to Pitchin’ Movies With The Sound Off, the only podcast where the greenlight means nothing, and the budget is always “TBD.”
Each week, hosts Marcus and Tra$h Dog step into their imaginary studio boardroom to pitch the next big movie idea — no script, no plan, and definitely no rights to the IP. From gritty reboots no one asked for to high-concept disasters that would bankrupt a real studio, every episode is a love letter (and roast) to Hollywood’s wildest creative process.
Think of it as Shark Tank meets late-night writer’s room, where every pitch is a blockbuster in theory… and a trainwreck in practice. Expect fake trailers, made-up stars, chaotic rewrites, and more plot holes than a $300 million franchise sequel.
So grab your latte, put on your executive sunglasses, and get ready to say the words every studio fears most:
“Let’s take this to development.”
New episodes drop bi-weekly. No NDAs, no deadlines — just pure movie magic (with the sound off).

What if the next great sci-fi trilogy began on Planet Chicago?
Tra$h Dog and Marcus Macabre are joined by musician and creative force Turner Jackson to pitch Gold World—a sprawling galactic adventure about two brothers, a mythical moving planet, and a mission that could save their mother.
Four thousand years in the future, Nero Light Runner abandons Planet Chicago, steals the family Star Skipper, and begins forcing his way toward Gold World. But the more Nero reaches through the veil, the sicker his mother becomes.
Now his younger brother Paulie must cross the galaxy and confront him.
He can heal his brother or kill his brother—but either way, he has to save his mother.
Along the way, the boys create house-music space battles, lawless interplanetary travel, 200-year-old space elves, the Recycle Revolution, a prison-planet Earth, ancient recordings of Friday, cantina sword fights, holographic dads, and enough history to turn one movie into an entire franchise.

This week on Pitchin Movies with the Sound Off, we pitch The Death of Lady — a darkly funny, surprisingly emotional movie about Sandra Pond, an anonymous author known as Lady, who travels to a remote Irish town after a devastating tragedy and walks into a pub for one last drink.
Unfortunately for her plan, the pub is full of people.
There’s Chanticleer, a bartender played by Christopher Eccleston. Rhonda Ace, a darts-destroying Jennifer Connelly menace. An old man. An asshole. A happy couple. A locals-only darts night. A first-edition book. A bathroom breakdown. And maybe the exact kind of strange human connection that keeps someone alive.
This episode somehow includes:
• Amy Poehler as a dramatic lead
• Jennifer Connelly playing darts like a weapon
• Christopher Eccleston bartender energy
• Rock-a-Doodle
• Doctor Who
• Highlander vs. Braveheart confusion
• pretending to be Canadian
• a spontaneous call-in segment
• darts league politics
• grief, jokes, and emotional whiplash
• and the birth of a movie that might actually be beautiful

This week on Pitchin’ Movies with the Sound Off, Marcus and Tra$h Dog pitch a dark comedy called Uncle Magnus Is a Really Bad Guy — starring Jack Black as a mysterious, filthy-rich uncle who keeps injuring family members and paying them off after the fact.
Tom Ditch has a problem: his son Edward wants to go to college, money is tight, and Uncle Magnus has a suspicious habit of writing checks whenever somebody gets hurt at the annual family gathering. So naturally, Tom hatches the worst possible plan: get injured by Uncle Magnus and cash in.
Recorded at the haunted Black Monarch in Victor, Colorado, this episode includes gothic hotel vibes, fake mustaches, dangerous ladders, Canada slander, Tim Hortons crimes, Jack Black villain casting, Rashida Jones as Deb Ditch, Finn Wolfhard as Edward Ditch, and a descent into the ghoul catacombs.
Like, comment, subscribe, and tell us: Would you take the Uncle Magnus injury payout?

This week, Marcus and Tra$h Dog pitch A Victimless Crime, a comedy-heist film following two trading card scalpers who accidentally steal a truckload of valuable collectibles and end up targeted by a terrifying underground card-flipping kingpin named Nemesis.

This week on Pitchin Movies With The Sound Off, the boys create “Help Save Ka-Roke’s Karaoke” — an absolutely unhinged comedy about a beloved old-school karaoke bar fighting for survival against a flashy new karaoke empire run by crypto-rich villain Ben Diamond.
What starts as a goofy underdog comedy somehow becomes:
-
a statewide karaoke tournament
-
influencer propaganda wars
-
celebrity cameos
-
pyrotechnic disasters
-
karaoke corruption
-
and one of the most stacked fake movie casts we’ve ever assembled
Featuring:
Ken Jeong, Justin Long, Riff Raff, Ruben Studdard, Paul Giamatti, LMFAO, and somehow Anthony Bourdain.
If Good Burger and School of Rock had a karaoke-addicted cousin with access to cocaine and PitchCoin… this would be it.

What if your storage unit… was just a dude?
This week on Pitchin Movies With The Sound Off, the gang creates “The Storer” — a Jason Statham-style action movie about a mysterious man whose entire job is holding things for people. Wallets. Taco Bell. Diamonds. Human organs? Maybe.
What starts as a stupid joke somehow spirals into:
- underground crime rings
- organ farms
- alley fights
- DJ Sleaze
- Steve Buscemi
- emotional storage metaphors
- and a genuinely fire action movie concept
Also:
Marcus threatens body modifications at 1,000 subs,

and somehow the phrase “America’s Most Idle” is born.

This week, we went full CRAZY STYLE and took Pitchin Movies with the Sound Off on the road to Victor, Colorado to link up with special guest Adam Zimmerli — owner of the Black Monarch Hotel.
What starts as a chaotic cold open quickly turns into one of our wildest pitches yet: “Short King: The Movie.”
A PG-13 rom-com about love, insecurity, and one man’s commitment to never letting his feet touch the ground.
We’re talking:
- Milk crate meet-cutes
- Elaborate height cover-ups that spiral out of control
- Tall friends, short lies, and even shorter kings
- A twist ending that flips the entire story
Plus haunted hotels, childhood chaos, classic movie debates, and a pitch that somehow becomes both ridiculous and heartfelt.
If you’ve ever lied on your height… this one’s for you.

What starts as a simple church gig turns into something way bigger…
In this episode of Pitching Movies With The Sound Off, Marcus and Tra$h Dog create a wild, dark, and unexpectedly deep movie idea: The Church of You — a story about community, belief, and how quickly things can spiral when the wrong person takes control.
A regular guy finds purpose in a church community
Then starts his own version… with VERY different rules
And someone else turns it into something dangerous
This one goes from funny → philosophical → straight up unhinged.
